Canadian optical disc drives litigation update

On January 14, 2020, the Supreme Court of British Columbia issued an order certifying a class action against certain groups of companies that manufacture or sell optical disc drives, including Panasonic Canada. Certification is the first stage of a class proceeding, and the allegations, which Panasonic Canada denies, have not been proven. As part of the January 14, 2020 order, Panasonic Canada is required to post the attached notice to its website.
